January 2020

I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season!
I have been enjoying my time spent with family...
especially my big kids!
The shop will re-open next Monday, the 6th of January.

Some of you have seen that the classroom area is now completed.  We have room for at least 12 people with sewing machines.  It is so exciting!  I would like to open up the
space to different crafting groups to offer classes.
If you know of someone who wants to
teach a project but needs a good place to host it,
just let me know.

Our Sewing Machine Giveaway Winner was Tara.  She is a homeschooling mom of five or six kids...I lost count at the stocking class!

The second place winner was Martha...she has been attending the group that meets in Blanchard for about a year and has been borrowing someone's machine or sewing by hand.
A wonderful patron of Cuppa Tea Quilting has offered to donate Martha a machine to call her very own!  I have also thrown in a rotary cutter and a cutting mat, some half-yard cuts of fabric, and some Aurifil thread to get her started.

Welcome to our wonderful Cuppa Tea Quilting community, ladies!  We know sewing and quilting will bring you much joy!

Other News...

Sew What? group will resume their weekly sit and sew on Jan. 6th...this will be a show and tell meeting beginning at 11.  All are welcome to stay and sew following the sharing time.  Snacks are always welcome!

New for 2020...Murder Mystery BOM  Here's the scoop...
Become a member of the Murder and Mayhem Murder Mystery Quilts community! Every chapter of the original murder mystery and each block of the quilt holds clues to the identity of the murderer. At the end of the BOM, you’ll have made new friends, read an original murder mystery and made a gorgeous quilt!

What is the cost?
Cuppa Tea Quilting in Priest River, Idaho, is teaching this BOM as a class. Gather together with fellow quilters and have fun!! If something isn’t clear, your instructor or one of your other fellow students will have the answer!
The class will be held around the 15th of each month and it costs $30 for a year program (that's just $2.50 per month).  All the information will be emailed to you before the 15th of the month...no need to come in but it's more fun to solve the mystery together!!
What do I get for my money? A chance to spend time with quilters! The chance to read a really good original murder mystery. Quilt blocks that were specially designed to support the murder mystery. A fabric list and sewing instructions to complete the quilt. Each month, you’ll receive a recipe for some type of dessert. If you’re going to sew, you need to eat!! If you’ve always wanted to learn to quilt, now’s your chance!!

Set in Woodland Park, Colorado...When Homicide Detectives Dominic Bridger and Greg Jackson are forced to investigate the obvious suicide of a Congressman’s son, little do they know their case is part of something much bigger,
and more sinister, than
even they could have imagined.
